  3. Changes:  Lots of them.  Support for Internet addresses and many
  4. other improvements.  Poke around in the program and you'll see
  5. what has changed since 1.14.
  6.  
  7. If you are upgrading from a previous version, just copy the updated
  8. files into your CMPQwk directory.  Be sure CMPQwk is NOT running
  9. when you do this, or nasty things will happen and you'll curse
  10. a lot.  Copy the new OPTION.DLL file to your Windows\System
  11. directory if your  CMPQwk directory isn't in your path.

  13. If you are installing a completely new copy of the program, unpack
  14. the files CQWK131A.ZIP and CQWK131B.ZIP into a temporary directory
  15. (anywhere on your hard disk where you have the space).  From the
  16. Windows Program Manager pick File, Run, and either click browse to
  17. locate SETUP.EXE inside the temporary directory, or type the path
  18. to the temporary directory and setup (C:\TEMP\SETUP.EXE).

  20. When setup loads, it will ask you from where it is installing.  Make
  21. sure it has the correct directory listed and then click on OK (or
  22. press Enter).  It will ask you where you'd like to install CMPQwk, so
  23. type the path where you'd like it to install (the default is C:\CMPQWK).

  25. Setup will copy some files and create a CMPQWK.INI file in your Windows
  26. directory.  It will also prompt you to add a CMPQWK icon if Program
  27. Manager is your shell.  Select the group in which to add it and click OK.

  29. When it's finished, it will tell you and then you may exit.

  31. Delete the files inside the temporary directory.  The first time you run
  32. the program it will open a sample packet.  Browse through the sample packet
  33. and when you're through, click on the Options menu and go confirm all of
  34. the program's paths and settings (see the help file for detailed instructions
  35. about this).  The most important settings are QWK, REP, and WORK paths.

  37. Everything else can be changed to your taste after you've used the
  38. program a bit.

  40. If you are upgrading you may delete the old 001-009.* files.  They may
  41. have the extension DLL or SND, depending on the version you have.  Non-
  42. registered users will have DLLl, registered users closely following the
  43. beta program will have SND files.  From now on, CMPQwk will use  WAV
  44. files for sound so the user can replace the original sound functions
  45. with those more to his or her liking.

  68.    under Windows 3.0 will NOT WORK, so don't try it.
